Crafting Our Own Pistachio Liqueur: Behind the Scenes of Osk Bar’s “Dubai Chocolate” Cocktail

At Osk Bar, we’ve always believed cocktails should tell a story. Sometimes that story comes from local North Queensland ingredients; sometimes it comes from chasing inspiration across the globe. Our latest creation—the Dubai Chocolate cocktail—was born out of both.

We wanted to capture the rich indulgence of Middle Eastern desserts, with layers of pistachio, chocolate, and a touch of aromatic flair. But when we looked for a pistachio liqueur that was affordable, consistent, and available in Australia, we came up empty. So, we did what independent cocktail bars do best: we made our own.
